The parade usually lasts for two hours or so, which means you will have plenty of time in hands to enjoy other fun-filled activities.
During the first week of the festival you can also take part in the Kayo parade where almost 29 local performers and singers display their performances all the way from Washington, Japan, and California. There are many popular Japan artists who are also invited each year, so if you are into Japan Theater, you might want to take part in this parade.
If you are willing to invest a little, there is an opportunity for you to attend the ticketed event by the much famed Taiko Dojo of San Francisco at the Japan Cultural and Community Center of North California.
